WHAT IS MEDIATION?
Mediation is a great, low-cost alternative to resolving a variety of life’s disputes. My area of specialty includes mediating divorce issues such as division of marital assets, custody and parenting time, post-divorce issues such as the relocation of one party and subsequent parenting time.
IF I MEDIATE MY DISPUTE DO I STILL NEED TO FILE A LAWSUIT?
The ideal answer is “no.” Both parties would simply need to comply with their mediated agreement. If your dispute continues and the parties do not comply with their mediated agreement, you may wish to escalate the matter to a court of law.
DIVORCE WITHOUT LAWYERS
A mediated divorce, ie, a “Divorce Without Lawyers”, is an excellent option for certain types of marriage dissolution. This is because divorce mediation significantly reduces cost, time and hostility, everything is confidential, and you maintain control of all important decisions.
Mediators facilitate both parties as they make informed decisions about every matter involved in their divorce. Through Kerry D. Holyoak’s Mediation services divorcing couples are assured that all of their property, debt, support and child-related matters have been completely settled and that they have been included in a legally binding agreement. They are also assured that their divorce is concluded quickly, inexpensively, and with as little stress and strain as possible. Divorce document preparation services are also available.
I offer mediation during or after standard office hours. I also offer mediation by FaceTime, Skype or Google Hangout to accommodate all types of work schedules and parties that live long distances from each other.
Most of my clients choose a confidential divorce which allows them to do their court appearance by telephone.
